My name is Huey, and I founded HEP Bikes in March 2024.

I developed a passion for mechanical things from a young age, but it was a visit to a local bike shop at age 12 that truly set me on my path. I’d gone in needing help fixing my bike, and instead of just doing the repair, the owner kindly took the time to show me how to fix it myself. Impressed by my enthusiasm, my parents asked if he might give me a job. Two weeks later, I was working there.

I stayed with that shop until I was 16, learning the trade hands-on and deepening my love for bikes and repairs. After four more years working at one of the busiest bike shops in Watford, I decided it was time to start something of my own — and that's where HEP Bikes was born.
